The Bar Plan Mutual Insurance Company recently announced the addition of Athena M. Dickson to its Board of Directors.
Dickson has an employment discrimination practice as a partner at Siro Smith Dickson PC in Kansas City, Missouri.
In addition to Dickson's busy law practice, she is active in the community and has served as the president of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association ("KCMBA"), the Association for Women Lawyers ("AWL") of Greater Kansas City, the Jackson County Law Library Board, and KCMBA's Young Lawyer Section. She currently represents District 12 (Kansas City) on the Missouri Bar Board of Governors and serves as the chair of the "Well-Being in the Profession" committee. She also serves on the boards of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation (KCMBF), UMKC's Law Foundation, and the Association for Women Lawyers Foundation (AWLF) and is the current board liaison to the Denise Hennings Connections Program.
